    Horrible fight, but the ref must also bear some blame for failing to control the fight. Perez fought quite dirty, Briedis quite ugly but did the better work

    Perez comes out swinging for the fences, they hold, hard one two staggers MP, he holds, uppercut lands from MB, lunging left misses by a mile from MP, more holding, uppercut, MB holds, they're tussling, savage straight right lands snapping MP's head to side, he holds, MB trying to go for KO, Perez spoiling, two more nasty uppercuts land, they maul each other to the bell, and maul some more after it.

    Worst fight of the year? Should be something like 116-110 for Briedis but he really doesn't deserve to be in the semis of this tournament.

    Good 12th round! Perez showed more energy in the 12th than he has all fight, he knows he's behind, but he walked into several Briedis shots. Big Briedis round. I gave Perez the benefit of two close rounds. Briedis won this, however you have it. 7-5 Briedis, 114-112.

    Usyk spanks Briedis. There's no way Briedis can out score the Ukrainian from long range and his inside game is just so one dimensional; throw uppercut and clinch if it misses.

    A few feints and counter straight lefts from Usyk will quickly neutralise Briedis' best punch.
