    While most of the close rounds got scored for Perez and poster's feel bad for him and claim Breidis should have been DQ'd for holding. I bet the poster(On the money) claiming that did not feel Ward should have been DQ'd.

    True, he's simply not used to events of this magnitude and he chose the worst opponent too. Typical Latvian mentality in its beauty really - choose the hardest path and stress the F out of yourself while walking it. But hey, the result is what matters right :)

    As far as point deductions go, Briedis might not have deserved another point taken away, but Perez shouldn't have lost one so early.

    No1 seed got 1st pick, so having harder semi seems fair.

    This has worked out great for the blokes I'm supporting.

    Gassiev will beat Wlod and the walk right through Dorticos, I think Gassiev will beat Dorticos like Dorticos beat Kudryashov

    If Eubank Jr gets past Yildirim then he gets his title in the semi

    It takes two to tango. Briedis was the spoiler in the first half but in the second Perez was happy to hug his way to the bell. I was hoping that he has the engine for 12 rounds in the cruiser but obviously not.

    Yes lol.

    He definitely looked nervous to me, I noticed it right away. I was a bit concerned he might have been ill after watching the Countdown show they did for the fight. He was eating in a restaurant with his wife and son and the later had a fever which I thought was a bit stupid of him to have him around if that was the case.

    I thought the point deduction for the headbutt/clash from Perez was harsh but apparently that's the WBC rules, which is something I wasn't aware of until tonight. Perez was guilty of falling in too at times.

    While I do not disagree completely, you shouldn't base your opinion of Briedîs on this fight alone, he hasn't had a fight like this before and 1 puch + clinch must be something he learned from Wladimir during their sparrings.

    Perez is often in boring fights.
    Mairis held way too much. He should have been taken a point earlier and definitely one more. I thought he should have been DQd but you cant just DQ someone lile that. Warnings have to be made and points have to be taken. (i am fine with him not getting DQd)
    Those wrestling skills should benefit Mairis against Usyk. He has to have some kind of an inside game.
