Big fan of Briedis, Perez looks in phenomenal condition. Excellent fight but I think Briedis pulls away and starts doing damage in the mid rounds to force a stoppage in 10.
It largely depends on Perez, on the weight and what he can do with his new body. (it looks like he bought a bodytype upgrade somewhere) But I expect Breidis to be too much for him anyway. The Cuban/Irish Perezident might surprise, as he is the dark horse in this field, so I put some pretend money on him at 4 to 1 odds here at the vbookie. edit: that said, he shouldn't have been at the roster as Glowacki had much more right to be there.
Briedis should beat him fairly comfortably, not because Perez is shot or anything, but just because Briedis is damned good.
I picked Perez even though i thought he was taller...i'll stick it out and bite the bullet if im wrong which very well could happen here, would say safer bet is going over the 8 rnds.. Perez 10th rnd stoppage.
I'm rooting for Mike, but I don't see him taking this. In fact Briedis is the worst style matchup at cruiserweight for him, even worse than Usyk. Briedis has too much speed and movement, and it's probably way too hard a task for Mike to track him down and outbox him. Mike may have been able to have a good cruiserweight career and this shouldn't be a slight on him, Briedis is just really good. Briedis probably by dominant decision, but I wouldn't be shocked with a stoppage.
Very Curious if its just sculpted down for looks, or did it get sculpted down via actual boxing training? If its the later, he will be at his best at Cruiser. Maybe a stoppage win for Perez, although the obvious is the decision for Breidis
