Following Makabu's close UD win over Cieslak, a rematch is always a possibility. Mchunu has the silver belt and is in line to fill in at #1 in the WBC rankings, perhaps a rematch between them is in order too. My favourite possibility for now is a unification of the WBC and WBA titles. Goulamirian is a monster himself but he's in need of notable names on his resumé. I actually feel Feroz would be the betting favourite despite having less pedigree. Either way we always know we're guaranteed entertainment with Makabu and I look forward to him having a good fight in his next one. The WBC top 15 at cruiser is actually quite stacked with tough options for defences. How would you like to see him maneuver his career?
I'm really glad Makabu was able to get his career back on track. One of my favorites from back when I was a more regular fixture/poster on here.
I think he will be fighting Okolie as most profit will be made there.I am sorry but the last performance of Makabu was so poor in this fight. and TOP 10 is really stacked. So he can't really take any chances by defending his title for low money and been only 6feet tall it's hard Cruiserweight division as we sew last fight he missed so many punches, because of his shorth hight when facing someone who is 6.3 is hard for him.
Well he only needed all sorts of imaginable cheating to get the win, but yeah his career is back on track fortunately.
I'd like to see a Ciezlak rematch on natural turf, but failing that a fight against Briedis, Dorticos, Glowacki or Larena would be good. Not too hyped on an Okolie fight to be honest.
The more impressive is that he started his professional career with a KO loss and managed to achieve such things.

As a personally big fan of the guy I'm glad both mine and his wishes were granted in him becoming world champ finally. Now he has that title on his mantle of achievements we can say he's gone and achieved what he was always capable of.
