This is legit the only fight I care to see for Canelo. Against another Mexican where the crowd and scene won’t be so one sided. Obviously he’s still very much the A side but Benavidez is f’n huge and throws a ton of punches. Gimme THAT fight. Not Plant. He’s never winning a decision against Canelo.

Scary fight for Canelo. I think Andrade is a scary fight too. And I can't stand Andrade's style.

For once we agree wholeheartedly. If not Benavidez, then Beterbiev. No one gives a **** about watching Plant. He's a waste of everyone's time, including Canelo. Trinkets or legacy? David means more to the latter.

Benavidez I could see before a return to 175 for Canelo. GGG trilogy probably before Benavidez.

Canelo stops doo doo and makes benavidez quit on his stool at the end of the 8th round

Andrade is not big enough. Sure he can have some success seemingly but he won’t get credit from the judges. He will be backing up all night. Benavidez stands and throws like a windmill. Normally that’s death against Canelo but Benavidez is a big MF. I’d still favor Canelo but there’s some real intrigue in it. Unlike fights like Saunders.

I'd love to see it. Probably a loss for Benavidez if it's the next fight, probably a win if they wait a few years.

Maybe they can do a series? That would be incredible.

Andrade lol. After what Canelo has done in his last 5 fights at 168/175 forget about Andrade.

Thing is, I still think Canelo is susceptible to that style. I had him winning more rounds vs BJS, but a guy who can do a little better job of avoiding his punches is going to pose problems. Andrade is capable of stinking out the joint and making it difficult.

Benavidez is the boogey man of 168 at the moment. But I'd say get Plant's belt first and GGG at 168 then after that.

I've been saying for ages that there's only one fight to make for Clenelo in this graveyard division he ducked back down to after cherrypicking the shell of the still concussed shot drunk ghost of Kovalev (''the best LHW in the world'') and dropping that belt like it was molten lead, which Sergeadamus also predicted along with the late round stoppage of Kov, and that is David ''El Bandera Roja'' Benavidez who I have been waxing lyrical about since the first time I laid eyes on him many moons ago. But Clen's fairy-godfather Mauricio has been doing his best to ensure that his ginger goose can swerve that day of reckoning with curly haired macho man Benavidez because mark my words he will beat the ginger out of that nefarious pampered toad's hair.

David has a lot of potential, but at the moment he just doesn’t have the experience to be much of a threat to Canelo.

Imagine your fairy-godfather has to come to your rescue to save you from a biblical shellacking from a curly haired bambino who has never fought anyone remotely close to elite yet? :risas3:

They banned him and stripped his belt off of him for having an out of competition little toot and then then when he missed weight after being confined to his room in the bubble for a few days and not being allowed to hit the sauna or gym they stripped him again.
