Make no mistake about it... Floyd Mayweather may fight Sergio Martinez, BUT...

    He is no Shane Mosely.

This would be a serious upgrade in competition. He is more mobile, better conditioned, has quicker hands, and has decet enough pop to hurt Pavlik.

I find it hard to pick Mayweather in this one.

Mayweather's "game plan" will not include walking forward and eating punches all night so I'm not all the way on Sergio's band wagon just yet.

    Far from it.

martinez has the best chance to beat Floyd.

I think Mayweather wins here but think it would be a great fight.

Martinez has some balance issues and takes too many rounds off. I see Floyd exploiting that ****.

Martinez beat up Pavlik, about who many here were saying could compete at heavyweight, less than a year ago! Martinez is not only a LOT bigger than Mayweather, he's also very skillful and has the mind and heart to adapt - which he did beautifully and to my surprise, after Pavlik seemed to take over in the 7th.

Martinez is a very dangerous guy I wouldn't be surprised if he beat PBF.

PBF would have to take advantage of Mart's balance troubles and his tendency to gas in the middle rounds. $ can't simply just take his foot off the gas and let his defense score him points for a victory like he typically does for the last 2-3 rounds. Flash knockdowns ftw.

Martinez has balance issues and Floyd has precision punching, good fight but Martinez might end up losing because of off balance knock downs.

Martinez hit Pavlik more in one fight than May has been hit in a career. Martinez has advantages of size and being a lefty, but if May keeps him busy, I think he will figure him out as Martinez tires in the later rounds. Martinez does not seem hard to hit. I see May getting at least a couple of knockdowns on Martinez because he(Martinez) is often off balance. And Martinez is aging as we speak.

    Mayweather in a close decision.

i love martinez (no homo) but he would get beat by floyd, he is somewhat sloppy and keeps going off balance, his accuracy also isn't great.

He's got an awkward bounce in his step, setting up punches, I like Martinez in this fight, he's got good speed. Size over Mayweather and power.

Floyd wins the fight. A very very good technician vs. an atg technician. The End

Honestly, I don't think Martinez balance is that bad.

    He's a very intelligent boxer.
