Such as that ppv extravaganza Mosley v Mayorga 2? If you pay for anything then they will put anything on ppv. The way good fights are going to start coming back on regular tv is for fans to stop paying for every ppv the promoter says is a great fight. I don't knock anyone for spending their money anyway they want too. My 60$ that they won't get won't mean much but I am making a point in my own way.
But for those of us in the ESB world, you are either not a real boxing fan if you don't buy it or you "DKSAB" if you do. There is apparently some sort of line in the sand and absolutely NO middle ground!
I've got a good job and it's only $50, so I'm definitely buying it. Will have some people over, they chip in a few bucks, we BBQ and it's a fun night all around.
:thumbsup It amazes me when people are seemingly excited to pay extra money for mismatches. And on a semi-related note, I'm left wondering how the numbers might be impacted going up against game 1 of the Mets and Cubs in the NLCS, as Chicago and New York are both pretty big baseball cities. :smoke
Hello Rummy. I think the ones with that mindset just want to see a brutal bloodbath of a fight. Even if its a one way beating that's being administered they don't care. For example Pacquiao vs David Diaz. I bet a lot of the sadistic boxing fans would have loved to seen a PPV rematch of that and a trilogy if David Diaz still has his eyesight.
