Make the case. Why is Marquez a better fight than Mosley?

I don't think Mosley is necessarily a more difficult fight. I mean obvious he's bigger and stronger than Marquez especially if he's juicing, but Mosley is very susceptable to being outboxed. He's not as crafty as Marquez. h got outboxed by Cotto although it was close and by Winky Twice. I think vs. Floyd he's beaten soundly.

From the beginning it was well known that Floyd is looking for
a tune up fight before fighting the better opponent (whoever
that will be Mosley, Cotto or PAC). So JMM was specially chosen to
be a quality tune up fighter, good enough to give some challenge,
small enough to score comfortable win and famous enough to
bring some decent $$$ to the table .... but at the end JMM is
nothing more than the sparing partner for Floyd :deal ...

Any hype added to this fight is only for the pourpose of
selling more PPV and bring more $$$ to FLoyd's pocket.

Wonder what would happen if Vic Darchynian didn't shut up
and called out Maywether live on TV :!:

    It's not.

    It's a warm up fight.

The Mosley fight was attempted to be made and shot down.

Mosley is too dangerous as a first fight out of a 17 month layoff

You actually believe that, cause I know you are pretty critical of Floyd? Still, JMM is no push-over, even for Floyd. I think this fight is fine personally, and will be good. It's a good first fight, and if Floyd does fight at least 5 times against the best fighters, I think he'll have really matched his accomplishments with his abilities. I like him, but I know he needs to do more. I think he really believes he does need to prove more, and I believe he intends to try and do it. Aside from Floyd, I am happy JMM is getting this big fight.

Uh, how can you be so sure JMM is not a better fighter than say Cotto or Mosley? I think those judgments are premature until their careers are over.

This "JMM has a whole country behind him" is crap. Sure he has their support but not their PPV dollars. The majority of them don't have two nickles to rub together but their going to drop $50 to watch him fight? I just don't see it.

You will have whole neighborhoods hundled around 1 t.v. That does not equal huge PPV numbers.

i'm critical of Floyd but regardless of that I'm a Floyd fan. I like to watch his fights and i respect him. Its just that I rate him less high than most other people and I think his record is very nice when you look at it quickly but lacks substance when you dig deep.

I agree.....I will even be pissed if PBF does not fight whoever emerges at 147 after he beats pac and marquez at catchweights

as long as PBF goes on to fight the WW stars after JMM, it's fine with me. The PBF-JMM fight i'd watch on regular TV (which sometimes comes out 2 hours delayed) and listen live over the radio. If for some reason JMM wins, i'd go straight to the internet to check it out.
