Make the case. Why is Marquez a better fight than Mosley?

    Woo......

Papa c'mon now you know better than this. Marquez is no where near Mosley's status so this thread is a non-issue......:D

First off I need a source on this Mosley turned Floyd down stuff I keep hearing on these boards. As far as I know Floyd made a ridiculously low ball offer at a time when Mosley was already otherwise comitted and FLoyd boys jump to say that means that Mosley ducked him.

Secondly even if Mosley had turned him down in the past. That does not mean that he is not the better fight now. Oscar turned FLoyd down cnosistently for years but the minute Oscar said lets do this Floyd jumped at it.

I know I sound like your typicalfloyd hater hear but I'm really not. If you read all my posts pre marquez talk I was a huge floyd supporter. I supported his decision to bypass margo for the real welteweight champ at the time who was baldomir, I supported his decision to fight Oscar for the huge payday, I supported his decision to fight Hatton and I even suported his decision to retire despite the demand for other big fights. However now that I see that he is willing to come out of retirment for what he believes will be an easy fight instead of fighting the fights that the fans really want I just can't stand behind him anymore.

Because if Floyd beats J.M.M more impressively than PAc did, it forces a fight with Pac. Pac has fed on common opponents in Dlh and Hatton, and in the eyes of many Pac beat those two better than Floyd did so he would have to take a fight with Floyd. Roach said Floyd could've had the Pac fight before the J.M.M fight. Does anyone believe this? No. Floyd, if he beats J.M.M can negotiate a fight with Pac, Shane, Cotto or Williams and be in the drivers seat.

Marquez at that weight is more or less on Collazo's level.

Easy win for Floyd, Floyd will KO him inside 10.

Bad argument. Floyd is already in the drivers seat with all those guys not to mention that a win over Shane would give him more levarage than a win over Marquez. He would then be the welterweight champ and would have more of an argument for Pacquiao to come up and challenge for that title as opposed to a non title fight at a catchweight or a him having to come down to challenge for pacquiao's title. Also a win over shane is more impressive than a win over marquez for floyd and would make him look like more of a badass.
