    His resume isn't bad at all. He has fought some of the better guys in his division. His resume is just missing a few top names through no fault of his own.

    Who are these top names at MW though?

    Quillin? He fought nobodies, and was never a top name.

    Lee? Much the same. He was on the same level as Barker, Macklin etc but fought nobody of note.

    Cotto? If he doesn't face Floyd, expect him to vacate.

    I'm BAFFLED as to who the top names are in the MW division.

    Golovkin is going through them all like a hot knife through butter!

    Was this directed at me?

    If so, there aren't any out there for him now besides maybe Cotto and maybe "big names" isn't the right term but if in the past he had been able to get fights with Pirog, Sturm and Martinez then I don't think people would be criticizing his resume so much. As I said though, no fault of his own.

    Golovkin's competition gets slated because it's not American, particularly black American because that's who his critics are.

    If GGG had KO'd Quillin, Jacobs, Andrade, Kirkland and Lara instead of Macklin, Proksa, Geale, Rubio and Ishida etc it would be a different story yet those guys are no better.

    Agreed on the black-american part. Worst fans going when it comes to boxing, as they know zilch about the game.

    @Gneus - How about when Golovkin was waiting in the wings but Martinez chose Cotto?

    That's what I'm saying, no fault of his own but it would have shut a lot of people up especially if it was a bit earlier so Sergio's knee couldn't be used as an excuse like it was in the Cotto fight.

    Not all by any means. I saw some pundit roundtable on YT consisting of 3-4 African American's with boxing channel's and they were all very complimentary towards GGG. Dwyer was NOT among them. They even brought in the racial angle for much of GGG's hate and micromanaging he gets. I believe all but one picked Golovkin over Ward is a potential fight.

    Of course in the comments section a bunch of people called them sellouts and Uncle Tom's.

    I'd rate those guys:

    Lara
    Andrade
    Quillen
    Geale
    Kirkland
    Macklin
    Jacobs
    Rubio
    Proksa
    Ishida

    If GGG had wins over Lara, Andrade and Quillen I'd rate him p4p, but Lara and Andrade aren't at 160 so he'd have had to move down for that.

    I think he may have been playing the Ouma card not Stevens. Historical revisionists are claiming that fight was even after 8 before Golovkin pulled away and scored the stoppage two rounds later.
