    Very good fight for Makhmudov.

Stay active and beat those guys. He can fight Hunter, Chisora or Sanchez after that.

I really hope he will be the champion after Usyk retires and vacates belts.

Makhmudov, Hrgovic and Dychko can hold one of each belts.

Hoping for a ranked contender, but Forrest is okay.

Nice to see there are some tough journeymen like Forrest who are not afraid to fight anyone. They deserve more respect than craven contenders like Joseph Parker, who avoided both Hrgovic and Joyce.

Thank you Forrest for manning up. Unfortunately I see Jerry being executed inside 3 rounds, he's just to available for the lion to last very long

Sigh, how long before he actually fights someone decent?

Hopefully this will be on an undercard.

If his next fight after this isn't at least Takam/Chisora level then just forget about him. Waste of time.

Blowout. Mak heading in the right direction though.

This is not a bad measuring stick to see how good he is.

Forrest drew Hunter and Zhang. He also lasted 10 rounds against Pulev.

If Makhmudov can stop him, we'll know where he belongs.

Calm down Jerry Forest is only his 15th fight. Only after Jerry Forest should he think about fighting more notable fighters.

Fighters need experience one step at a time moving up to maximize potential

Forrest is by far the best fighter he has fought.

Takam is almost 42 years-old. While he did beat Forrest, it's seriously doubtful he has anything left that could bother Makh.

Not sure he's going to be tougher than Wach (even as faded as Wach was).

Everytime Forrest has appeared to look good - there's been a reason for it.
    • Zhang came into his fight with Forrest with some stress fractures and in a state of electrolytic shock.
    • Michael Hunter got drafted in at the last minute to bail out that Trillium card when Fedosov bailed on it. He came in poorly-prepared.
    • Jermaine Franklin is nothing more than ordinary
    • Takam and Pulev were pretty shot.

There's this perception that Forrest has a granite chin. I don't think he has a bad chin, but here's a clip of Gerald Washington (not known for producing highlight-reel knockouts) putting Forrest on his back, gasping like a drowning man...

Forrest isn't a volume puncher, he isn't at all rangey, and he isn't accurate. Makh likely stops him in 3 rounds.

I’m not that convinced by Makhmudov. He has power, but he’s not a very intelligent fighter. He doesn’t use the jab very well and he’s not great at setting up shots.

Forrest will give him some good work. This fight may test him.

Hunter was poorly-prepared (he was a very late addition to the Trillium card after Fedosov bailed out), Zhang had health problems, and he was facing the 41 year-old edition of Pulev (who, btw, still managed to win a very wide UD over him).

Makh won't have much problem cutting off the ring and finishing him.

Unfortunately, you could just as easily be talking about Forrest. To which I would add: Forrest is not a volume puncher and he tends to miss a lot. Much of his success seems to come when his own opponent is missing a lot, himself (e.g. Franklin) or becomes tired (e.g. Zhang, Hunter).
