Ive never seen someone's stock rise so high after beating Dave Allen. AJ is fading but the last 3 guys he beat might be better than Mak.
I think the general consensus is AJ will blast Makhmudov out with a straight right hand as he's easier to hit than a mail box and I agree . That being true, as a promoter I wouldn't let AJ near him at this stage of his career as the risk versus reward just isn't there as Joshua can't afford a KO loss to someone as crude as Makhmudov . Wonder what the odds would be,,5-1?
Ultimately, is Makh even as dangerous as Ngannou (to AJ)? Durable, can hit - and susceptible to that punch straight down the pipe. Probably not much in it... But if confidence is down and rust is up, I guess it could be. If you were trying to rebuild Joshua (I think it's too late, but so what) then you wouldn't find too many opponents anywhere near as hyped for the limited risk level.
