haha there really is some bitterness towards fighters who choose to fly the irish flag instead of the british. Macklins parents are both irish, most of his relatives are irish, and to play a game like hurling at quite a high level he must of spent a lot of time in ireland. Its hardly a surprise then that he sees himself as irish.

Too far. Why is it so hard to believe that he just sees himself as irish and not english? Why does this make him a *****? And even if it was the case which I sincerely doubt it is, why does it make you so bitter and angry

Has he always fought as a proud Irishman?

I don't actually care. Just think he's a bit of a twat and enjoyed seeing Golovkin crushing him.

he is irish so that makes no sense!

    according to you.

place of birth doesnt determine what nationality you choose to align yourself to. Plenty of people born in England choose the nationality of there parents.

He is a very brave fighter, tough, gave Martinez Hell, but Golovkin is, by far, the best middleweight in the world right now. He will beat everyone at 160, 154 and will surprise a lot of fans if he goes up to 168 later.
