I am very impressed with Paquiao. I just think that more is being made of these victories then should be. I definitely believe that both Oscar, and Ricky were a shells of there former selves, and there performances prior to that were very indicative of my opinion. He also lost to Morales, and his victories over Marquez are debatable. He never proved himself the best in the lighter divisions. I just feel his management, trainer, and HBO cherry picked his fights for him in building his star power. Job well down. That's the nature of the sport these says because todays boxing fans are quick to abandon fighters when they lose.
I can't believe anyone could look at Oscars performance in that fight and not see a shot fighter. Freddy Roach said it himself. He saw it when he trained Oscar. As for Hatton. Hurt by badly by Collazo, hurt badly to the body by Urango, hurt badly by Lazcano, and buzzed once by Mailnaggi. How can anyone say that he is the same fighter that walked through Tsyzus right hands?
If he wants to stake a claim at 140 let him beat Timothy Bradley. I just don't see beating a washed up Ricky Hatoon to be the accomplishment that everyone else does.
As for Manny being on the level of Henry Armstrong... thats and INSULT to ARMSTRONG. In the span of three years he won the featherweight title, the lightweight, the welterweight title, and drew in a challenge for the middleweight title. Notto mention he boxed to a competitive 10 round decision loss to Sugar Ray Robinson. 149 wins, 21 losses. 101 wins by ko. 2 losses by KO. Defeating 16 world champions along the way. Not to mention he held all 3 title simultaneously.

Common bruh . . . this is getting very much monotonous and predictable. Lebwada, Barrera, Morales, Diaz etc etc etc all became just shell of their former self just after Pac beat them. De La Hoya is the only exception because I do believe he is out of it long long time ago.

Do not inject Armstong because his era has long been gone. Comparing the two won't end up in any conclusion . . . that is subjective.

Valero is chasing pac because he sees big dollars. He doesn't deserve a big fight with manny. Go beat somebody that we have heard of and then maybe he can fight pac.

What's in it for Pac for beating Valero?

After Pac ktfo Valero, people will surely say that Valero is untested with real A level fighters. Don't forget Valero got dropped by Mosqueda in the 3rd round. And he never KO'd Mosqueda. The ref just stopped it with Mosqueda still standing in the tenth I believe.

If Mosqueda dropped Valero, with Valero's sloppy defense, Pac by massacre in the first round.

Many believe that Oscar was already shot before the fight happened, but experts and boxing fans believe that he will still dominate Manny because of his size and "skill".

He can be compared to Henry Armstrong because Pacquiao fought at 130, 135, and 147 winning 2 belts in 2 different weight division. He did it in 1 year span or 9 months. It is similar (not the same) and comparable to what Armstrong did.

Comparing the records of the fighters from this era with the old era is unfair because, the some boxers 50 - 80 years fought atleast twice or more a week/month. Unlke the boxers who fights 2 - 3 time per year. There is big difference.

The first B level fighter in Mosqueda Valero faced, he did not go down easy. How sure are you Pac will go down easy.

If Mosqueda could drop Valero, I'm sure of Valero going down easy with a single good shot from Pac.

So on one hand you're saying Pacquiao is better than Armstrong and on the other your calling him to fight a guy who has not fought ONE SINGLE DECENT FIGHTER.

    Not one.

Who the hell has Valero proven himself against to be a threat or even a draw for Pacquiao?

If Valero fought Erik Morales with his chin in the air like that over commiting to shots, he wouldn't loose a 7/5 fight in rounds, he'd get a career ending beating.

If Valero with his current form for JMM, he would be countered until it was over.

I think Valero is potentially an incredible fighter and his power is astounding, BUT, he hasn't developed yet. He's more at a Pac Vs Nedal Hussein level as of now - Raw puncher.

I think he will develop into an excellent fighter, but as off today he's not ready for the top of the class.

pac is not a very special fighter, justy good matchmaking, he ducked the best at 130, and lost to marquez at 130. he went to 135 and beat the worst champ in david diaz who was koed by kendall holt.

he then fights a skeltor oscar, and beats an overraed ricky hatton:deal

HBO has invested a great deal of money in manny and they want to cash out. and what better way to do that then a fight with floyd. most people don't consider oscar and hatton credible wins on floyds resume so how do these wins make manny special when ocar and hatton are not special fighters and in the case of hattonnever was.:hat

Admit it, you are a hater..

Valero wouldn't last a round against Pac with the way he ridiculously sticks his chin out.. He was more of the same against Pituala..
