When did they start to weigh inn fighters one day before the fight instead of fight day?

 

The push started in 1982 after Mancini-Kim. I don't know how long it took for it to go into effect and when it became universal.

Flip Homansky, I believe, was one of the main people leading the charge to change the weigh-in.
