He was probably angry at the time, but to say what he said, after his team had won, shows what a stupid tool he is.

He obviously cares about himself and Queensland more than the game itself, because this kind of reckless tirade only brings the game down.

You are a selfish man Mal, not fit to coach at the highest level, because that job comes with responsibility.

What he said was absolutley spot on. I'd say the exact same thing if Ricky Stuart was attacked by our press in the same manner. To call Meninga a passenger and to suggest the Qld side coaches itself was pathetic journalism. Tell me how there's 5 weeks in Dave Taylor's tackle but none for Uate. Well done Mal for calling bull**** exactly what it is.

This is a storm in a tea cup.....both sides play loads of mind games in and out of the media.

QLD team do everything they can to disrupt the blues when they come up here...including driving the team through caxton street so they can be booed by the masses and running up and down hall ways and knocking on doors in the NSW hotel

So what if the media gave Mal some stick....QLD media do the same to NSW :deal

It's all fair game...maybe Mal should just celebrate the great win instead of mouthing off at the officials....I hope Greg McCullum sues his ass :rofl

The fact McGaw even threw a punch in a game played for charity by old men speaks volumes about him. He should be thankful he even recieved an invite for a "legends" match.

He's got an axe to grind over the judiciary for sure. And the media, being the grubs they are angled at his coaching during the series to onviously irritate mal and qld.

Its not nsw's job to tell qld who can and cant coach that side. Meninga isnt sort after to coach nrl, had a poor record at canberra and its obvious henry and hagan are responsible for the technical side of things. Still, mals presence might mean more than anything, probbly does.

And here's the thing...every coach in nrl has assistants on the roster. Im sure plenty of nrl teams have guys in the back ground who are responsible for the way teams play. Its pretty obvious georgallis at penrith was one such guy when he was elliots assistant. So to highlight mal was a bit of a media shot for sure.

Above and beyond that, ive heard that outside his inner circle of players and footy friends etc, mal is a **** of bloke. So im not too sympathetic if his arse ends up in a court room. :p

Kev waltets said on the league lounge the other night that the qld squad with thurston, smkth, lockyer dont need coaching. Like top racehorses...they make the trainer
