No it dont, Paulie is a B level fighter, Hatton already batterd him once.

Paulie holds no belt at 140

And Hatton only wants huge mega fights, Paulie isn;t a big enough name

I've been a Paulie fan since the Cotto fight. I've never really understood the hate he gets. The man is entertaining, intelligent, articulate, a good fighter, and good for boxing.

To be fair, all but one of Tony Danza's fights ended by way of knockout.

Danza was more like Miranda than Paulie:yep

By the way, Box Rec does not have a complete record of Danza's fights.

I checked Wiki first, because that's never wrong; then Box Rec to double-check. It's been a looooong time since I watched any Danza tape. I don't think Paulie's going to get a People's Choice award anytime soon, either.

As for what he is as a person, come on people... he's a Bennie! That kind of behavior is hard-coded into his DNA.

As much as I want more personalities and characters in boxing, I totally lost respect for the guy after the Pacman-steroids comment. I put him in the Mayweather Sr category after that - hater.

Imagine Wlad with a chin. Imagine Michael Nunn with discipline. Imagine Joe Calzaghe with a resume. Imagine Ike Ibeabuchi without prostitutes. I could go on forever. "IF" the Queen had balls, she'd be the king!

I never could stand the guy whatsoever. I've given him several chances. As a person, this thread sways me quite a bit. He is definitely real. I give him much credit for telling thousands, face to face, on the microphone, exactly who won that fight in Texas.

As a fighter, I have always felt that he clowns much more than he deserves to. Someone like Pernell Whitaker deserves to clown, as he could afford to. To worsten the situation, after hurting Diaz, he wasted quality time clowning instead of following up when Diaz may have been extremely vulnerable. The only thing I can think of is that Malignaggi was surprised himself, as the rest of us were, that he had actually hurt someone. Either way, how can that be justified in any way shape or form? One thing that it is NOT, is classy.
