Isn't Alexander on some sort of deal with HBO where he is guarenteed $1.2 million for his next 3 fights or so? Sure i have read about that somewhere. If thats the case then forget about him coming over here. Can't see him being part of an undercard over there either.
I would go for Soto Karass in the US. Will be an excitiong fight and if Brooks beat him convincingly it will show him as a better fighter than the other fringe contenders. The Mallignaggi fight is lose lose. He will either make Brook look ****, or Brook will do a job on him which won't be better than Khan. If you gonna do a big fight in Sheffield, get Senchenko over for the world title and get it at the Hallam Arena. It forces the Khan fight.
They signed a deal with him and Bradley so their unification could go ahead. Not sure how many fights but probably includes his next one.
Yeah, it was just a $1.2m guarantee for his next fight against an approvable opponent. It's probably the only reason why Bradley hasn't been absolutely slaughtered for not fighting Khan. It's also the main reason why Ross Greenburg was given the push at HBO.
yeh Bradley was basially told you can fight anybody for $1.2million or Amir Khan for $1.3million. Pisses the fans off but you can't really blame the guy. With Top Rank he can get the Khan fight next year for double that. If Mayweather vs Pacquiao gets made its the only fight for Khan and Bradley that pays big.
I think everyone wanted to see it, but HBO can't offer him that deal, then turn round and say they want a Khan fight next and just expect Bradley to do it for pretty much the same money. If they'd offered him around $2m it might have happened, but it's only really a trade fight rather than a ''super fight'', and the $1.3m is probably what it was worth.
the issue with Bradley is he has been poorly promoted by Shaw. Now he is with Top Rank, he can look spectacular against Casamayor and the 1million which buy the Pacquiao fight will wanna see him again.
As if any of them three would come and fight Brook in Sheffield in fornt of a couple of thousand. Brook still is a nobody in reality and a dangerous opponent you think these top fighters like the three mentioned would come over to sunny sheffield in front of hardly any fans unless they are paid a big big purse, which begs the question where would this money come from.
