Malignaggi and De la Hoya - who was the better test

I'm calling bull**** on that. Firstly, Malignaggi was the one calling out Hatton. Secondly he was ranked 2nd at 140lbs. 3rdly he was expected prior to the fight to be a tough contender - some even predicted an upset on here. Hatton couldn't have known Malignaggi wouldn't trouble him. Obviously he was never going to knock him out, but he could of out pointed him. It can hardly be called handpicked when it's against your only main rival in the division.
On the night also Malignaggi was more of a test than de la Hoya. At least he won A round. He also hit Hatton with a good stiff double jab in the middle rounds if i remember.

Paulie couldn't hurt Hatton with a baseball bat.
His hands are made of glass & he no longer has the confidence to throw hard.
(A prime Mallinaggi, Maybe But the current version is/was no threat)

De La Hoya on the other hand was a great test for Pac on the size factor..
regardless of Oscar's "Shotness" in the fight, This is a man who once fought at 160lbs against ect....
(The left Hook factor was there)

No Danger was present in the Mallinaggi fight... IMO
