Pac, simply because he would be the one at his natural weight in a division hes owned for almost 5 years.

no one said it was the win of the century. but some people take it too far saying that it was equivalent to calzaghe beating roy jones jr. and why so sure that he is shot? past his prime maybe but shot is an abuse word here. a shot fighter would not make a competetive fight with floyd and would not beat steve forbes who gave berto a tough fight.

Most of Manny's fans here are not confrontation junkies and make deliberate bait threads to annoy fans from the other side. There are a couple of them that are more aggressive, but mostly, his fans only answer back, and they dont start trouble.

The "*******" label is pretty corny now.

  5. I wouldn't put it too far away from Calzhage v Roy Jones.

And that is an Honest opinion as I have no axe to grind with Manny... I was even cheering him on against DLH

  6. Yeah I can't stand the heat of an Internet forum.

I'm so ashamed what shall i do with my life.

Anywho..... back to talking about boxing

If you were annoyed by some of the comments said against Hatton by people who think that Manny will beat him, and Manny's fans, (there's a difference) you shouldnt be.

I can say for certain that the majority of Filipinos were for Hatton when he fought Mayweather. We like tough, aggressive brawlers and he's exactly that.

We do not disrespect Hatton, we just really want our guy to win.

even pac fans are critical of manny. its just that haters here spew half-facts or total lies that pac fans tend to be overly protective of him.

do you want facts that most pac fans can accept?
    1) oscar was past his prime and going down a division when pac fought him.
    2) pac was going up 2 divisions to fight oscar.
    3) there was no sign that oscar is shot before the fight that most experts and boxing fans here in the forum picked oscar.

its easy to say that oscar is shot after the fight because of how he performed but there is no real evidence that he is shot. i can probably accept that he is weight-drained but its not all the story why he performed so poorly. pac's performance should be one of the reason if not the main reason why oscar looked **** in there.

believe me, it's far away. oscar's past two fights before pacquiao was a SD loss against p4p king floyd and a decision win against a WW contender in steve forbes. jones was coming from a win against a retired trinidad and some hanshaw guy.

people are criticizing calzaghe for fighting jones who we all knew was already a "shot fighter". people are afraid of pac's health even if they knew that oscar was already past his prime.

    big difference.

I honestly thought he would lose badly.
I was still hoping he would win, though.

And I joined in one of those ESB avatar bet things, and backed Manny, even if it meant having a guaranteed gay looking avatar for a few months. I just wanted to back him, even if I was sure to lose.
