Just read on the site that hypes fights where Malignaggi stated that Mayweather was the BEST EVER...and I totally agree. Pauli knows his boxing and gave some great insight. Here's the link: http://www.fighthype.com/news/article14413.html His point about how Mayweather disarms his opponents and make them scared to through punches was dead on....I think he beats Sugar Ray Leonard, Aaron Pryor, Hearns...GREATEST WW of ALL TIME!! MONEY!
You can't be the best if you duck fighters in their prime. You're a Mayweather groupie, suck his willy already!
Greatest SFW of all time, sure. Greatest WW of all time? Far off from that my man... Greatest fighter of all time? 20 years from now these threads will look stupid for people not ranking him in the top 25, let alone some of the old school princesses who don't list him top 50. He will go down as a consensus top 25 fighter ever, even if it takes for all the 40+ year old fans to die off for that to happen.
Did you read the article? Malignaggi is on record as saying Money is the best ever and it's due to how he breaks down fighters...I'm in full agreement.
Floyd makes every guy he fights look weak...I can't wait for the Canelo fight! He is going to make him look foolish...
im a big fan of him but he isnt the best ever he has some supreme talent but he just wont test it to the full i reckon if he did he might even have another level if someone really pushed him in a fight but we wont really find out although he did do some pretty great things in his early career that do get forgotten about
2nd all-time in defenses behind Arguello, (pretty sure on that, feel free to correct if I'm mistaken) and was extremely dominant in doing so, icing excellent competition. Taking on Genaro Hernandez so early in his career was an excellent achievement as well. Many felt he was "biting off too much, too soon" in his young career at the time. I'm Nicaraguense, and I'll take Floyd over Arguello at 130 all-time. Willie Pep was a featherweight, just fyi. 130 is a younger division and I got Floyd at the top of my list. Only Arguello can be argued IMO, and he still falls short in my view. That being said, Mayweather is not the greatest of all-time. Just the greatest of his era/generation, and that's all you can do.
