Malignaggi had balls when he fought Cotto.

I kinda agree with what pete said...Malignaggi's best most complete performance was the first N'Dou fight....It was an absolute thing of beauty...Lennox who calls paulie..."malgingo"....said it was a boxing clinc....

but if you have watched Paulie, his handspeed has slowed a bit....I think he relies more on moving and setting traps for people....What got Diaz in trouble was the mobility of Malignaggi not his handspeed....So, I do think Malignaggi has peaked, hope I'm wrong....He certainly is a Live Underdog against Khan...

eh... they had a 36 hour weigh in for the fight... plenty of time to recover

Do you buy into all this stuff that Paulie has been saying about Buddy setting him back a few years?

A little, I think the second N'Dou fight, people forget he fought half that fight with a broken hand....his hands are the healthiest they have been in years....

If you watched the Ngoudjo fight...It does appear McGirt is instructing him to stay in low and in the pocket....that is not Paulie's style at all....

and his new trainer sherif younan does give pretty good corner advice....and I do see improved mobility out of Paulie with Sherif, but his handsspeed has slowed imo...

Yeah, i completely agree with you. Hand speed isn't what it was although i am hoping that he can put it together against Khan. First Ndou fight was incredible.

Btw, Dwyer (that guy who gives fight predictions on youtube) has said that Paulie has a shoulder injury that prevents him from having full use of his right arm. Do you know if this is true... i have never heard anything of this although from watching the Hatton and Diaz fights, it is an event when Paulie throws his right

Well his trash talk got you pissed off enough to make this post and I'm sure you will also tune in hoping to see him get his ass kicked. That's the point of his trash talk and I agree with you about it being pathetic, especially all the stuff he said about Hatton then came out to bash Hatton as many times as he could indirectly in interviews.

I've never heard that before about a shoulder injury...I know he has broken his hand 8 or 9 times, and has had multiple surgeries....Which pretty much has zapped all his power...What paulie does is throw about 40-60 jabs a round...his opponents get used to his up-jab so much, that when he does throw his right, he makes it count....He set Diaz up perfectly with that right upper-cut...Paulie knew what he was doing, he just didnt expect to hurt Diaz...

I expect him to rely more trying to set traps against Khan....One advatage I think Paulie has on Khan is footspeed....One of Hatton and Cotto's strong points was their footwork....Khan has average footspeed....Plus, I think Paulie is smarter then Kahn when it comes to ring IQ at this point....I just don't know if he has enough skill against Khan to win on points...he certainly can though

It was a great performance by Paulie and show a lot of heart and skills. It was Cotto's last fight at 140 since it was becoming real hard for him to make weight. At 147 would've def. been more dangerous for Paulie. But he def. got new fans in that fight.

I don't get why people would even think of saying hatton did better then cotto in the malli fight, Cotto was weight drained for that fight.

hes actually come out and said what great people hatton and his father are....and how much he appreciated the way he was treated over there...hes given his honest evaluation of hatton as a fighter....he still feels the same way about hatton even after he was worked

i think alot of people tend to forget this even about the cotto fight....and not that it would matter really because cotto is in another class....but paulie took that fight before he was ready...because of the hand breaks and the frustration of recovering....he didnt know if he was ever going to get a chance on a big stage....he wasnt really ready for that fight...and still made a good showing....lost one card 115-112

Malignaggi can take a beating that's for sure, shame he's got zero punching power.

I think Roach would have looked at the Malignaggi vs Hatton fight as why Paulie is such a good opponent for Khan, Hatton had become chinny towards the end of his career with a KO from Mayweather and Lazcano had him out on his feet yet he could still go out and put on a great performance against Malignaggi because he wasn't at risk of ever being knocked out.

Roach has someone in Khan that can also put on a good show but has a suspect chin so what better opponent than Malignaggi, someone you can take chances against because he isn't going to knock you out yet will take a beating and continue.

The Cotto fight just demonstrates how tough Paulie is, didn't he fracture his eye socket early in the fight? Yet and still went 12.

i agree...thats why khans people wanted this fight...perfect opponent to make his us debut against( i will probably go to this fight)

i have to be honest....ive only watched cotto/paulie once...live....and i was pretty drunk...but i remember paulie starting to adjust in the middle rounds and having some success...and i remember really hoping he would be able to continue it in the last 3-4...but he just didnt do enough there....i dunno..maybe cotto felt kinda bad for him and took his foot of thet pedal a bit....like i said...he lost one card 115-112....
