I really hope this fight Never ever happens ! But according to the reticle at *************ne looks to be the case :-(
the only acceptable opponents for Floyd are: Lara (should he wish to go up to 154, a clash of 2 great technicians) Pac (for obvious reasons) Garcia (despite the Herrera fight, he is still the man at 140) Thurman (inexperienced and not well known, but a young, strong, fast hungry lion wanting glory) Martinez (should he get past Cotto and stay healthy, at a catchweight) Floyd will most likely retire undefeated, and currently really nobody has the tools to beat him, but the fighters mentioned above at least have a chance to make it competetive, anyone else is a mismatch and please stop with the "Floyd should fight GG at MW" threads, because in case those of you that don't know and make these threads, there is such a thing called weight classes which should stop size mismatches from happening
Winner of Porter vs Malinaggi are a good fight Malinaggi brings a good jab Porter with the win will bring spirited Volume
If he beats Porter, I dont see why he cant be in the discussion at least. He actually has a style that might actually give FMJ some issues. Floyd would win, but still, wouldnt be the worst fight to see.
Like Paulie , dont like the fight. Paulie doesnt have power and isnt going to outbox Floyd. If anything it should be Collazo or Khan.
Thats one fight, Mayweather wants another one for May 2015...and other opponents all the way to 50-0, I don't mind Khan, Malinaggi assuming they beat their solid opponents :smoke
A couple notes: 1. Thurman at this point in time is just a lesser version of the 2011 Victor Ortiz that Mayweather fought. You just described '11 Ortiz word for word, minus "southpaw," as to all the reasons why everyone said Floyd would never fight Ortiz. W over 2014 Thurman < W over 2011 Ortiz. And everyone says that was a waste, so Thurman is not on the level of the other guys you have listed. 2. You say he should fight Sergio at a catchweight. Why? It will just be the reason why a potential victory over Sergio would hold no merit. Everyone complains about catchweights. 3. So, a fight with Sergio for the lineal MW crown if he wins, but not a fight with Cotto for the lineal MW crown if he should win?
