    PAULIE 'THE MAGIC MAN' MALIGNAGGI
    IBF light-welterweight champion
    25 wins, 5 by KO

    SERGIO 'THE LATIN SNAKE' MORA
    WBC light-middleweight champion
    21 wins, 5 by KO

Does no-one else think it's strange to have 2 world champions with such an incredibly low KO ratio?? Has this ever happened before? Even guys who were said not to have tremendous 1-punch power (like Pernell Whitaker) still had a far better ratio than these two. Has there ever been a world champ with a lower KO ratio than these guys? And who is the pound-for-pound most feeble puncher in boxing: Malignaggi or Mora??

Ah yes, Calderon, can't believe I overlooked that banger. Is this a trend now then, in 10 years will most guys have 3 KO wins in their career??

I don't think this is a trend - generally guys will have around a 50% ratio - which is fair enough IMO.

Barry Jones won the WBO 130lb title and had no KO wins. He managed to knock over Acelino Freitas in the fight he lost. Great boxer.

Yeah, a great little fighter with a low KO ratio, but the man knows how to box... Plus being he spent most of his career at straw-weight he gets a free pass on this one I think...

I can't wait for Hatton to destroy Paulie Malignaggi though, "Reflex Fighter" my ass...

whitaker had a low KO ratio, doesn't mean he was not a great champ, i think it was better than paulie and moras but it wasn't great. Knocking people out just never suited whitakers style.

No-one is saying for a minute that Whitaker wasn't a great champ. I didn't even imply that at all. And he had 17 KO's in 40 wins, I think that is substantially better than 5 KO's in 25 wins.

i'm not saying that anyone of you are saying that whitaker was not a great champ, i'm just saying that you can be a good champ with a low KO ratio. Knocking people aint everything in boxing, the whitakers of this world take boxing to another level. I like malignaggi style, i prefere counterpunchers to brawlers.

I like Manuel Marquez and Guzman more than pacquiao, doesn't mean i don't respect pacquiao just prefere the boxers style.
