Plenty of decent fights in Italy for Paulie before he goes for the Euro strap....that bloke who beat Watson and Sinclair (Petwhatever), Branco etc

 

It will be pretty unique if he goes the Italian domestic level route then European title etc.. has anyone ever done that after being made in the US?

It's pretty cool I think, a lot better than just being some gatekeeper or padding with bums for the rest of your career.

If the Magic Man...(Paulie) was to have a number of fights in the UK I would defo go and watch, he has really grown on me, I like his attitude, that documentary and Cotto fight were great...:good

Really good idea. He can get patriotic and get some Italian backing over there. He could fight for the Italian title and then the Euro. Winnable titles for him. He could face off with Branco.

I quite like the idea of him fighting at European level because it would also be a good chance for Europeans to get noticed and maybe even raise some interest with European TV channels and the public.

 

Wonder if he will take his power up with him to 147.

I don't think Paulie has anything to prove anymore in his career. We all know his level and that he's a warrior in his own way, so moving up to a more comfortable weight and still making good money without going through anymore tough wars is probably a good idea. As with NO MAS, I would definitely watch him if he were to come here to fight Matt Hatton, a weekend away to Italy to watch him wouldn't be too bad either!

 

Since his parents are Italian and he spent the first six years (bar a couple of months) of his life there

 

its axctually not a bad idea at all theres certainly some coin to be made for him out here in europe especially italy and he deserves to wind down his career in easy fashion he's fought some great fighters and giving a good acount of himself so why not go out on a win with some extra cash in his pocket
