I don't think I was a member of the forum when the fight actually happened... but who do you think won this one : Mallignaggi or Ngoudjo? Personnaly, I had Ngoudjo 115-113. And I'm sorry if a thread had been made before... What do you guys think?
Same. It was CLOSE but I think it was clear cut. I actually had it 116-113 due to the several wobbles and what not Ngdoujo did to Paulie. It was a home town decision, no doubt...but it's okay. Paulie can only get a few of those before he gets exposed. Not saying he isn't a talent, I'm just saying that **** only works a couple of times.
115-113 for Paulie, and quite honestly a point can be made for 116-112. People just keep on scoring points for the aggressor, even if its completely ineffective. Herman had a few rounds where the aggression worked but for gobs of rounds he wasn't doing anything with it, and completely tailed off late in the fight. Paulie took over the fight when he started pumping the jab in the 6th round
I think i had this one for Ngoudjo by 2 rounds if i remember rightly. Ngoudjo v Castillo was a close affair too.
i didnt score the fight but i saw it as a close fight, no way did i agree with the judges! and i wouldnt have been shocked if it was scored a draw or split/majority dec.
Search function's a *****... http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=38954 I guess I had it 115-113 for Paulie (I said so in that thread), but I remember it being close and feeling like it could have gone either way.
i was at the fight and i had Ngoudjo winning 115-113...i watched it again from home and had paulie winning 115-113..either way close fight glen johnson sat in front of me and he had paulie winning
I can't remember which round it was but Herman clearly won one in the second half of the fight and landed flush on Paulie for almost the entire round. Still, Paulie clearly won this fight. Close, but clear cut
Paulie took some huge shots in that 7th round. Paulie didnt dominate a lot of rounds but he clearly won them and when all was added up I had it 8 rounds to 4. But it was much closer than that in reality because Ngoudjo won some rounds big with harder punches. Thats how boxing is scored, its not always the best fighter on the night who wins the boxing match.
i don't think you can say it was clear cut when so many are disagreeing with you,i remember i had it 2 rounds for ngoudjo and the 7th easily could have been a 10-8 round,no doubt it was close but i wasn't clear cut in any way.
When I first scored it, I had Paulie by a a point or 2. When I rewatched it again, I had Ngoudjo winning by 4 and clearly winning. I cant believe how bad i was reaching for Pauli when I first saw it, but Ngou defintely got shafted from the judges. After his fight with Hatton, win or lose Pauli should give Ngou a rematch.
either way Ngoudjo is fighting an IBF title eliminator in a few weeks so if he wins he will get another shot at the title.
