That's because you have no idea about boxing. Tackie was fringe world class, went the distance with Tsyzu and Mitchell in back to back fights challenging for the World Title before fighting Hatton. He has never been stopped and has world class power.

Hatton boxed beautifully and shut him out 11-1.

Magee was a good, awkward fighter of European level who lost to Urkal on points was a decent puncher but had lots of injury problems. But he was a name on the UK scene for a good while beating British champion Thaxton.
Thaxton is the current British champion, limited but a tough fighter and was who Hatton had to beat to become British champion early in his career.

Vince Phillips you idiot was the guy who stopped Tsyzu back in 1997, knocked out Micky Ward in 3 rounds and only a year before fighting Hatton lost a narrow MD to Sharmba Mitchell.

Seriously if you have never heard of them and think they are "bums" you need to learn something about the sport.

Yes it is entirely your fault. Khan is a bigger name than most in Britain because of hype and media coverage. Would it "not be your fault" if you didn't know who Cotto was and thought Khan was better?

You claim to be a boxing fan and you had never heard of the guy who battered Tsyzu to take the IBF World Title and who was the only guy to have ever beaten Tsyzu until his final fight against Hatton.

But you had heard of Maussa. In other words you started following boxing about 4 years ago tops and so rather than realise there is a lot you don't know or missed you talk about ex world champions and top level fighters as "bums" because you have such a shallow knowledge of the sport that you don't know about them.:roll:

What was the point of the sarcasm? There are plenty of idiots on here who know nothing about boxing and come out with exactly the sort of thing you did. So your "joke" was to say "Yes Hatton is like Ruiz" which you actually do think, and then when someone replied with examples of guys he boxed well against, be sarcastic by saying "I have heard of this guy, this guy and that one, but I have no idea who the other bums are" and then expect everyone to go "Ah ha ha ha, he is being sarcastic"?:huh
