Malignaggi on JCC Jr.

It was hilarious when he fought Fonfara and got KO'd so easily. Cleverly had that war and never went down.
When people deny 'weight bullies', show them that fight.
As soon as this 'iron chin' fought someone his own size he got wrecked.

But it's not just the fault of these 'brands' that they get the big fights.

Let's not forget Froch and GGG both wanted to fight Chavez for the huge Vegas payday, knowing he wasn't that great and didn't deserve the title shot.

I reckon Paulie in his prime is at least a level above him.

 

Every big fight he won he could have lost but he didn't. Its like 3 fights. If he wasn't who he was we wouldn't give it a second thought. JCC Jr was losing to Lee and he took the fight out of the judges hands.

Malignaggis someone who was fighting in better weight classes around the same time. MW wasn't bad but it would be a grass is greener type of deal for a guy who lost his 0 to Miguel Cotto watching JCC Jr defend his title a few times.

 

I was younger when Jr was coming up the ranks but I have to admit, I rooted for him

I feel there was a time when he took the sport more seriously and performed better. At the time beating Lee and Rubio were good wins

I also appreciated him never giving up vs Martinez and in the 12th round showed way more guts than Canelo did vs Mayweather or Crawford where he seemed content to be out boxed.

That said it has been a really long time since I watched him fight and remember the Zbik fight being close but thinking zbik took it

 

IMO:

Juan Diaz is the only win he has seperating him from JCCJr

Besides that, his best wins are about equal to the likes of Andy Lee or Rubio…

and getting whooped by but almost stopping Sergio is better than just getting beat down by Cotto and Hatton, as far as their performances against the A class / elite goes.

 

Paulie is biased and jealous of anybody who packs a decent punch. His commentary is full of butthurt.

Edit. Not to suggest that JCC Jr. was a big puncher, because he wasn't. Although he is a bigger puncher than Paulie because almost everybody is. I'm talking in generalities here. Dude has got serious butthurt problems with anybody who can punch.

 

After the Rubio fight, the WBC and the local comission forgot to conduct doping tests on the two boxers.


The HBO and the WBC together toke the world title from Martinez, so Chavez was able to get it with the help of the judges.

 

He's literally not wrong in anything that he said here though. JCC jr ****ing sucks. Paulie still became a world champion with pillow fists and without all of the benefits and privilege JCC jr had.

 

Paulie would have her dancing around the ring like bambi on ice with range finding jabs. Get real.
