Its quite simple. Broner, a guy who is now fighting at 147, just like Paulie, recently struggled with a featherweight. What do you think happens if PDL were to jump to 147 and fight Paulie? Or even spar with Paulie. If he struggles with friggin FW's what makes you think he'll have an easy time against guys 20lbs heavier?? Also Broner has never shown the kind of power Manny has, even at 130 and 135, let alone 140. It took him 5 rounds to get rid of Gavin Rees, who is basically a smaller,less skilled,less everything version of Hatton.
Paulie isnt going DOWN to fight Broner. Broner is coming up. A more apt analogy would be how PDL would do against Paulie at WW.

Paulie probably knows he is gonna get the **** kicked out of him by Broner, so maybe that is why he has been going all out on Broner on twitter. Paulie has 2 choices here. 1. Get his ass kicked in the ring, and do nothing else. 2. Get his ass kicked in the ring, but own Broner on twitter. Given those are Paulie's only options regarding Broner, I think Paulie is doing well so far.
Yeah your first sentence makes no sense. Broner didn't recently struggle with a featherweight, the PDL fight was over 2 years ago. LOL. He went on to become the guy at 130, then move up to 135 take out the top guy, now he is coming up to 147 to fight a guy who is a weak titlist. If PDL jumped to 147 with his size and style he would lose, what point does that make regarding making a logical argument in this thread? None. Like I said believe what you want, but style wise Paulie will play into Broner's hands, he will walk him down counter him and bang the body til he gets the KO mid round or forces a corner stoppage. Why? because physically he will be the same size as Paulie in ring, has the faster hands, the better footwork, the better ring IQ, and more power. Manny never seemed like a brute power guy to me, more speed, I was never impressed with his rise through the weight classes, he fought the "right" people in each class on the way up, never cleaning them out like Marquez did. He destroyed Gavin Rees he would equally destroy the small Hatton if he fought him as well. Hatton would be easier because he has even less skill and fought with his chin up winging wild shots.
No one said Paulie was going down, but if you want to compare how Paulie woudl do against the PDL Broner fougth you would have to have Paulie fight in the same weight class Broner did.
Broner is going to beat Malignaggi. Without much trouble. Malignaggi is trying to get Broner out of his gameplan, and it might work. But Broner is so much better even if he gets out of his gameplan he will win.
