. This **** is pissing me off. What is the official story? Supposedly he's fighting Ndou again. If this is the case it's a huge step backwards. Noone wants to see a one sided fight again. He already beat Ndou, every minute of every round.

    Any official news?

he is fighting njojdu ( i forget the spelling) and if he wins he has to rematch with ndou.

malinaggi`s camp cannot really complain to much, they wanted a shot , ndou`s camp gave them one with a rematch clause attached and are enforcing it.

i very much doubtr that malinaggi`s camp will have voluntary defenses without insisting on rematch clauses.

that the first fight was pretty easy is a fair point and the second fight result is not in doubt, but they should have gone for another belt holder if they are not happy.

hatton was in the same position.
ndou was his official opponent, hbo did not want it , so he vacated and fought castillo.

malinaggi could always vacate and go after torres/witter ( who would like this fight for the money ) or make a fight with a big name opponent.

Paulie isn't happy about that mandatory rematch. It IS a step backwards because the first fight wasn't even remotely close. It was a virtual shut-out.
    Paulie in his own words:

This is a pointless fight to have. N'Dou could fight the best fight of his life and Malignaggi would still beat him. A definite step back.

hopkins had to fight robert allen 23 times , despite no one wanting it.

alphabets and rematch clauses should have some commonsense attached.
