So now some people are picking Paulie in a rematch blaming the first fight entirely on Mcgirt.

Say this fight happens, who wins?

styles make fights .. juan diaz is a 135 pound fighter that over runs that divisons fighters with stamina and a high out put come forward style ... ricky hatton is a 140 pound fighter who does the same only with way more power ..

exactly, in the first fight Paulie couldnt win a round unless he outboxed Ricky for all 3 minutes of it. Paulie could outbox Hatton for 2:30 of a round but if Hatton landed that one shot all the momenutm of the round is his.

I'll still pick the same way like before. Hatton over PM. The only way to stop Hatton is if PM has a KO punch, which he clearly doesn't have.

Hatton outboxed Paulie fairly easily, if you remember.

It wasn't as if he used only pressure in order to win. His footwork was way superior (and is grossly underrated) and he won the battle of the jabs.

I don't understand Juan moving up. He should be moving down to 130. He has much baby fat on him. I believe he would be a serious force at 130.

Hatton, a better pressure fighter with a lot more power who could utilize his jab.

McGirt has nothing to do with it, even though the new trainer is a much better match. It's Paulies hands, whenever he's willing to throw the right hand or manages not to hurt it he's a very impressive fighter. It looked like he had Ricky's number early, but around rouund 3 he stopped throwing the right hand and started holding. Unless it's somehow permanently fixed which I highly doubt, Malignaggi's career is going to be up and down. i gotta say he was definetly up last night, he looked so sharp.

hatton would beat him again the difference with him and diaz is the power,if diaz had power he would have won convincingly,as far as skills hatton and diaz are on the same level hatttons just bigger and stronger, and by the way,i agree with you borincano diaz would be a real force at jL,i have always thought he could drop 5 to 10 pounds.
