Mayweather was the first in his prime fighter Haton fought and he lost. Malignaggi is still a maturing fighter and Haton should take the fight instead of fighting another grandpa fighter on HBO that no one cares about.

Was it me or was Malignaggi's last fight fought in a cupboard with just his mom in attendance?? Ricky can fill out all American stadiums, Malignaggi can't....Hatton can fill any UK venue...Malignaggi certainly can't......so why have the fight in america it will just cost the fans more money to see the fight cos lets face it theyre all gonna be British

I'd like to see Hatton fight Malignaggi. He would destroy Paulie, there shouldn't even be a question about that. Put it this way -- if Rick hadn't lost to Floyd, I bet nobody at all would give Paulie a chance whatsoever. Since his loss to Floyd, I see plenty of people saying X or Y fighter could beat him. Complete and utter bull****. He may not be the most technically amazing fighter out there but come on, the guy would bang the f**k out of Malignaggi and, deep down, you all know this.

Malignaggi is smaller than Collazo & even more feather fisted.
Hatton did alright against Mayweather so you'd expect him 2 beat Malignaggi.

Yes, Hatton would serve himself well to fight punchless egomaniac Paulie at this point. After that tune up, Ricky would be well primed for the Whitter fight.

You could have said the same about mayweather. YOu guys are way overrating how strong Ricky is. If Cotto couldn't walk through Paulie I doubt ANY Jnr Welter could.

Miguel Cotto was on hunger strike to make 140, and looked ill!

Hatton can make 140 easily, and bullies people at that weight.

Collazo wasn't the biggest of punchers admittedly, but seen as though Hatton got in the ring at 160lbs, six pounds higher than usual, it was easy for Collazo to tag him, and bear in mind Collazo is a fairly accurate puncher, whilst Ricky is easy to hit at the best of times. Has anyone actually thought that Collazo produced the best performance of his life against a guy short of his best, and came up short?

Hatton would walk through ***gi and stop him late. And I will change my mind and decide he's great again.

It's amazing how one loss for a non-American boxer makes them completely useless!

I have been saying this about Ricky for a while.
He has failed to impress in 3 of his last 4 fights. Everytime the Brittish have an excuse.
He failed to impress against Collazo. Why would you underestimate your first opponent in the US? He was supposed to impress.
He failed to impress against that comlumbian guy, cant think of his name. He should have impressed since his last bout was disapointing.
He did ok against a worn out Castillo.
In the Mayweather fight... Come on who actually thought he could win. Too high of a weight class and in a way lower skill level.

I agree if the fight happend in MSG it would be all Hatton fans just like his fight with Cotto was all Miguel's fans. Paulie would have trouble selling out a club show so why have the Brit's waste their money?

It wasnt just a loss, it was a one-sided schooling.

And if Collazo didnt beat Hatton, he certainly beat him up! Add in the holding on for dear life against Urango. Also, people cant ignore what they see with their own two eyes; Hatton looks like an unskilled C fighter with a big fanbase and and good early matching-making. Thats why hes being dissed so much recently.
