Easy to look good, yes, but FFS you're making the same mistake here as Quincy K. I'm not saying the Martinez performance is a clear indicator of how he'd do against Malignaggi or anyone else above Martinez's bottom-feeding level.

I'm not talking about him "looking good" overall.

I'm talking about specific things here. Punches traveling a shorter distance. Sitting down on body shots. These are things you can always gauge regardless of the level of opposition, because they aren't impacted by it. Do you understand?

It's easy to look good overall against a tomato can. However, you can't play some visual trick and make yourself look like you're throwing straighter punches. There is no optical illusion here. You either are or you aren't. Whether it's Angel Martinez or Sugar Ray Robinson in front of you, you're either throwing straight shots or you're not. Got it?

or do people here believe that the angel martinez fight proves actually nothing re the punching power or development of the 29-year-old marcus maidana who won the amatuers argenitina championship when he was nineteen years-old and a quarterfinalist in the world championships at 20-years-old?

because i would believe that someone would have to be pretty dense to think that marcus has never seen the likes of an angel martinex before and has disposed of him in like fashion before.

Somewhat, but who's in front of you has a lot to do with it, Maidana has trouble with boxers, was he facing a mover in his last 2 fights, no........................I guess you thought Manny was reformed because he looked like superman beating slow one dimensional plodders, same principal here.
