Malignaggi never lost the title, rather had to relinquish it to face lineal champ Ricky Hatton. If Malignaggi faced the new IBF title holder Juan Urango, how do you think it would play out?

I got it Malignaggi by wide UD.

Depends which Malignaggi shows up. If the Malignaggi who fought N'dou (the first time) and Cherry (i.e. boxes from the outside and moves laterally) shows up, he should be able to win. If the Malignaggi who fought Ngoudjo and Hatton (i.e. tries to brawl and mix things up on the inside), then I don't see it going too differently from the Urango-Ngoudjo fight.

if comes in intent to stand there like he did against hatton, urango most likely runs over him.

Paulie will make Urango look like a bufoon at times, but Urango would stalk him down for a close UD IMO.

DISAGREE about the Urango beatin the crap outta Paulie..Im not much of a Malignaggi fan but he can box and move no doubt..He'd make Urango look utterly stupid at times too!

If Malignaggi pot shots and moves he wins UD if not he losses UD or gets stopped late.Possible KDs.

I'd say close UD for Paulie.

He is pretty hittable, but if Urango throws his punches now they may just get there next week.

Urango doesn't hit as hard as Hatton or Cotto, so won't bother Paulie much in that respect, though Urango may have a better chin than those two.....

    Good fight, get it made!

His jaw was broken once already...I actually think Urango hits harder than Cotto or just about even.

Urango would break his jaw much sooner. He also has a much sturdier chin than Cotto at 140. So he won't be phased by anything he does.

    Urango stops him late.

Maybe if Paulie trades with him:good I don't see Paulie trading with him though:bart...Paulie can box and move and make it a boring fight and take a UD...

why not make the fight as an undercard of the Holt-Bradley unification fight. And the two winners can meet to further unify the titles (if Hatton or Pacquiao fight Mayweather later this year or etc). They are fighting in Montreal and obviously Urango has no problem going there having just won the title there. Promoters lets make this happen.

Paulie is easy to drag into a brawl though.

Granted Urango can't close the ring as well as Hatton.... but still he would catch up eventually.

Paulie was looking to survive from the 2nd round onwards against Ricky.
