Good point... Paulie would probably make a good trainer... and would be entertaining as hell at the press conferences, and in the corner. :yep
You can tell after watching this interview(first time I saw this btw)...and seeing the first Ndou fight....That was a peak Malignaggi...he pitched a shutout against ndou....
i love paulie as a fighter....im a big fan...and have been for some time....i agree with booradley...in that he is very good at analyzing fights....but i think hed be great on the BAD broadcast team to start.....i dunno if hes really trainer material its unlikely he would have faired any better at a later time against cotto....but some people tend to forget that he took that fight way before he was really ready....because of all the hand surgeries....he almost hung em up....and he took the fight because he didnt know if hed ever get a chance, on a big stage against a fighter like cotto, like that again....... i almost wish he wasnt fighting khan....the odds are kinda stacked against him in that one...and a loss wont help him....but hes talked in the past....about going to 147 if he could get cotto again....and although i think cottos alleged demise is probably a bit premature....sometime soon would probably be good for paulie when cotto is most vulnerable....thatd be a good fight for the garden or yankee stadium
