it is about skill but i just think paulie's been getting tagged alot in recent fights,i was really impressed by the way he handled n'dou the first time but he hasnt impressed since.that coupled with his lack of power and hatton's ability to cut off the ring tells me its hattons fight,i might be wrong though.
i dont really see him as a beast, there are a few fighters that could at least match him in strength at 140.i think its the combination of strength and speed.he's just abit more explosive.
Agreed. This idea of Malignaggi being slick is a common misconception. A slick fighter is someone like PBF, Toney, Pea Whitaker, Winky, Hopkins to an extent who can stand in the pocket make you miss and counter you. Paulie is fast, moves a lot and throws a good jab and some fast combos but slick he ain't. Hatton's footwork is underrated, better than Cotto's and will help him chase down Paulie who doesn't have the power to keep him off of him. An 8-4 decision or possibly a late stoppage sounds right.
i think that paulie can win too. his quick stingy punches and ablility to take shots while firing back is gonna be to much i think for the smaller looking hatton. i mean i do like hatton but what a clingy *******. i think paul is gonna recognize this and out work hatton when he decides to cling and out work hatton for 12 rounds. paul knows i think what a fight this will be. bigger then he knows i hope. big win too. put him on the map in a big way. im kinda pumped to see what hatton is gonna do now that he got his first loss and new everything sounds like.
if lazcano had a chance of beating hatton i think malignaggi would expose hatton for the washed up fighter he is
Perfectly put:good Paulie whilst having fast combos isnt exactly Mayweather with his punches, he goes back in straight lines and his defence isnt all that good. I think Hatton will punch the fight out of Paulie by pinning him down and scragging him around the ring. Hatton in 10.
The world's greatest midget wrestler is not going to just walk through Malinagi. However, if he keeps the pressure on he might score a late TKO. I'm not sure Paulie can keep Hatton off of him for 12 full rounds. I think this is a decent match up that will be either a close decision for Paulie, or a late TKO for Hatton.
