    Fighting Kendrick Releford.

Seems he has lost 30 pounds, and even though he seems to have been aroound forever, he is still only 31.

Anyone think he can still make some noise? The division can use him if he is serious.

Considering the current field at heavyweight, pudgy Russians, pathetic Brits, and all the other mediocre , fat , lazy and unmotivated "contenders"
, almost anyone could be a player in boxings biggest division, Scott included.
But I'm not sure if Malik is any less a bum than anyone else. He's done nothing up to now to show otherwise.
The Klitchko's are made to look so much more awesome than is the reality.
Problem is , none of todays pretenders have the fortitude to back them up. Since they're flawlessly conditioned , and box intelligently, thats enough to beat the heavies of today, who are more concerned with not getting hit than winning.
Get a guy with some balls and make the K's FIGHT and they're not so hot.
Again, could be Malik , if he's dedicated and determined. But considering his past, probably not.

Malik would have to step up soon but if he was at a turtle pace and then retired i wouldnt expect him to come off a lay off and all of a sudden fight real opponents unless he realized hes got nothingleft to lose

Releford is a good step in the right direction for Scott. His abilities have always been overshadowed by his lack of discipline and fortitude.

Sometimes, when a fighter hits a certain age for instance, they wake up, figure it out all of the sudden and turn it on. Let's hope that what's happening here.

This guy should easily be able to sail through the Cclass and get a world ranking by some bodies as Arreola, Welliver, Rodriguez, etc have. American HW's are almost guaranteed that. If he could turn the corner and take some bigger fights, the world might take notice.

I don't remember him having all that much power, and he was really a poor mans KJ or EC. But both those guys are top 20 without power, and like Byrd, could sneak a title with their abilities.
Here's hoping Scott don't take a long time to get the ship right. I don't wanna wait 5 yrs for him to step into the Bclass or get an immediate title shot for beating the Relefords, Molinas, and Aguileras of the division.:nono

who knows....he is 32-0 and his opponents have been horrendous with the exception of David Bostice and he was average at best and had 8 losses at the time...unless he comes out having forgot how to fight, i think its pretty safe bet that he gives Releford his 16th loss
i think M Scott has been a sparring partner for the last few years, so i doubt he will have as much rust as one would think

Facing Kendrick Releford by all accounts. Good comeback fight. I wonder where about's in the rankings he'll end up if he wins this fight well?
