I could actually see either fighter retiring with a loss. Scott doesn't fight too much, and people forget he's in his mid thirties. I guess I'm rooting for Scott a bit for that reason; Thompson's got plenty of names on his ledger and has been there done that. A loss at this point won't hurt his career too much. It would hurt Scotts career much worse.
Scott doesn't have the greatest set of whiskers, and Thompson has shown he can expose this. Thompson KO
In a nutshell, that's why I expect Thompson to win. But at Thompson's age, he could drop off any moment. Plus if you take him past 6, he gasses badly. If Thompson can't ko him in 6, I like a Scott decision.
The HW division is so bad. TT is a good fighter but he's ancient. Wlad is head and shoulders above the rest. All these guys come in overweight too. It's like common to see flabby guys at HW now. Sad.
Was it a joke when Ancient Foreman won a title?? Oh, no obviously because "nostalgia" any era prior to today is better simply on the nostalgia/mystique factor alone!
Yeah, it was also the same era in which pure glass jaws like Michael Moorer, Tommy Morrison and Herbie Hide became title-holders.
