**** stoppage but I don't think Scott looked like he wanted to continue. He shoulda been up at 8, getting up at 9 is always gonna be risky especially when your away from home Big props to Malik tho for coming over here and fighting a guy like Chisora, very classy in his post fight interview think he deserves an immediate rematch if he wants it
His own fault, who waits till 9 to get up? Crazy, typical American - no heart and no brains Everyone knows you get up at 8 if you are OK to continue
Malik Scott really shocked me tonight, he looked like he didn't want it and just fought a very bad fight alltogether. Chisora probably would've had it by points at the very least, the way Malik fought. It was a garbage stoppage, but oh well...
He was either going to get stopped or loss on points. I had it 3-2 for scott at the time of the stoppage but Chisora was all over him in the 6th and I didn't really see anything to make me think the 7th, 8th, 9th or 10th rounds would be any different. Anyways Malik Scott looked awesome at times. A really awesome skills set. But skills don't pay the bills unless you got heart, toughness and stamina to go a long with'em. Stupid stoppage. That ref should be reprimanded or suspended. But the reality was scott was on his way out anyways.
agree on certain degree l.hamboy. Anyway i cant believe someone thought malik had prayer on wnning this match.
I'll admit you never say never in boxing. Just look at the Molina Bey fight last night. So ya Malik got totally ****ing screwed. I definitely would have liked to see the fight continue. But it looked like the tide had pretty decisively turned towards Chisora. So on the whole I'm not as outrageously PO at reffing incompetence as I otherwise would be.
Why stand up at 9, with this you actually agree referee messed up, it like saying why they scored goal in last second it doesnt count, its clear Maliks head was clear and he did stand up before 10 so stoppage was idiotic, smart or not he stood up referee is moron!
I think Scott realised he had no power to hurt Chisora and his constant prodding forward was something Scott couldn't find an answer to. He gave up, shook his hand and gave him a round of applause.
