1stly... Mallignaggi spoiled the fight, I have no sympathy for him whatsoever... he was on his way to a defeat anyway...... BUT....

He was nowhere near close to being KO/TKOd & if I were Paulie Mallignaggi, then I would have told McGirt to cut the gloves off & when he did, I would have delivered a straight right hand to his ****ing nose.... that was disgracefull from a former fighter who knows what its like to box in a big fight.

How would he have liked it if his corner pulled him out when he was getting owned by Whitaker in their 2nd fight ?

Completely unacceptable behaviour, he cost PM any chance of winning the fight however unlikely that may have been.

He would have broke his right hand if he punched Buddy.Maybe a jab,cuz he doesn't throw anything else.Anyway the stoppage was good,he was getting battered.

If he is in there just to survive, without trying to win....I think it is acceptable to stop the fight. Way I see it is he stopped trying to fight/win so he may as well have a stoppage loss on his record.

All this macho, pride **** is a cop out. Its a sport and there is no reason to let the guy take a beating for the sake of his ego.

But for his excessive holding, he would have been down probably three times.

Kenny Bayless had a good night, but should have deducted a point - it was like watching Ruiz!

He should've broken Hattons nose in the first place.

McGirt did what he was supposed to do....Protect his fighter from further damage. Pauli was starting to take a pounding in there, and McGirt specifically warned him in between rounds 10 & 11, that if he didn't start throwing more punches, he was going to stop the fight.

McGirt should drop mallignaggi as a client.

That would have been one more punch thrown in anger than he did against Hatton.

Exactly the only person who should be annoyed is Malignaggi because its on his record. But i agree with all the comments he would of tried to break McGrit's nose but end up stumbling and than clinching onto him.
