Your 'Boggy Cousins' have as many world champs, interim or otherwise. Unless you want to count Hatton's IBO trinklet.:hi:
Thats were its at atm, Dunne chasing big names, and Munroe is a small fish in a huge pond. But good luck to Munroe in the future.:deal
What Dunne hater here can honestly say that if they were in his shoes right now, that they would take Maloneys 150,000 offer to fight Munroe in front of max 5,000 fans in England!?? Financially, there are bigger fights out there for Dunne. 1 or 2 'relatively' straight forward defences in front of 9,000 in Dublin again will earn himself 150,000 each time (roughly). Then a step up to fight a Molitor, Caballero, or Vasquez in Vegas would earn him at least 200,000. If he was to beat a Molitor, Vazquez,or Caballerro then his next fight could be potentially for 750,000. Regarding belts, why would Dunne want to fight Munroe for a European belt (no disrespect, decent title), that would be like taking a step backward. Also going to America is where its at, if Dunne gets as much support as Duddy does and meanwhile becomes a legitimate top 5 SBW, well then he can really rake it in!! Dunne is 29, no time to be wasting fighting at european level now!! Also, why doesn't Munroe/Maloney both grow a set and challenge Cordoba first and then maybe they'll talk!! They cant expect to go around insulting Dunne and Peters before the fight, and then say that they want a shot at Dunnes World title. For those of you who say dunne has nothing, just have a look at the world rankings. Just 1 step away from a big fight and a big payday, the same can't be said about munroe cos his manager is a chicken ****!
For a nation the size of yours, and with no bogs getting in the way you'd think you'd have more top level fighters.
If Dunne goes for World Class Opposition he will defo get a better purse but he will get knocked out. This is the same guy who got Kod by Martinez and everybody was saying he isnt ready for the step up. Now he has a great night where he could of easily been knocked out and he is suddenly the man to beat. I have much respect for Dunne but I think everybody is getting a little carried away. Munroe isnt a bum, he is a top fighter is that division and he extremely big for the weight. It would be a good fight. For those people who think Dunne would KO Munroe, think again.
Munroe was rocked by a couple of punches from Matriosyan and Fabrizzio Trotta, who are not big punchers, so if you think Munroe cannot be hurt, you should think again. I think what pisses most people off about this whole thing is how disrespectful both Maloney and Munroe have been regarding Dunne, and that is where a lot of these comments are coming from, Munroe and his fans seem to be seriously underestimating Dunne, not wise in my opinion. To be totally honest, if Munroe did not have a big size advantage, I would not give him much of a chance against Dunne, but because he comes to fight at about 130Lbs (which is super featherweight ffs), he does have a chance if he tries to bully Dunne. The skill and power advantage definately goes to Dunne.
