Maloney is european promoter of the year

Well at least Warren didn't win

 

I would say Hennessy's put on far better shows than Maloney this year. As far as the rest of Europe goes, a couple of Sauerland shows i've seen have been pretty good.

 

I'm not sure what the criteria is for "best promoter" but I think Frank Maloney is a good one. Whether or not he is the "best" depends on your point of view but I certainly don't have any problems with him winning it.

 

His undercard on the Box office was a joke

 

I think it would have made two good Friday Night Fights on SKY with Williams/Mcdermott headlining one and the two EBU fights co-headlining the other but it certainly wasn't PPV standard.

That said, it was a lot, lot better than the British PPV card for Hatton vs Mallignaggi - Prizefighter :-(

Strange they dont mention that on there then.

 

Is it any coincidence that these are the two guys that have been staging most EBU title fights?

That said, Frank has done brilliantly with Munroe, and has finally got Moore out of a bad rut beating up chumps and having opponents pulling out.
