Maloney: Munroe offered IBF Eliminator

Yeah. Me too. I like Munroe. He has never been scared of Dunne. It was Maloney who was afraid to put him in with Dunne. Not anymore though now theres something at stake for him. And the money seems to be there. I still hold out big hope for this match up.

Dunne is not a World Champion and only those people who know **** all about boxing think that he is...

Dunne is NOT a World Champion and Cordoba beat Callabero FIVE years ago for the NABA title... and so your point is....

 

Jeez I feel very sad for guys like Kane who believe the **** about Dunne being a world champion.

He could get given the real belt if Cabdriver moves up but he will only be a 'fake' as champ as Alex Arthur was. Still with Duudy and Lee getting served recently the Irish posters need to be lied to about someone elses ability.

Munroe vs Dunne would be a good fight but I am sure Dunne wants the money and will go to America until someone pops his bubble.

Munroe is no great challenger either. Just a decent domestic boxer who is the top of a poor European division that even Dunne failed to deliver in.

 

He will not go down as champion. That is the point.

 

So will Audley Harrison, as World Heavyweight Champion, but you won't find anyone who knows their stuff comparing his reign as "World" Heavyweight Champion with that of Joe Louis...

I wonder, are you hoping that Dunne fights Oscar Chauke in a unifacation match?

Irish boxing is based on Lee - ordinary and very over-rated, Duddy - ordinary and over-rated and Dunne - decent but will get exposed at the top level...

And as for UK boxing being in a sorry state :yikes David Haye is better than ALL the fighters I mention above and so is Carl Froch...Plus we've still got fighters like Kell Brook, Nathan Cleverly and Akash Bhatia to hit the big time...

Irish boxing is doing really well. The sport seems popular and you have some very exciting fighters. A few good level fighters at domestic championship standard and Dunne who is on the verge of fighting for a belt. Also if you are very lucky Ireland could see Duddy, Lee, Moore and Macklin have a great set of fights against each other plus Rogan has more chance of beating Wlad than Haye. Sutherland should be at a decent level soon too.


English and British boxing is doing as well as it ever did. A few very good fighters. One real world champion and lots of fights on tv plus big big fights lined up and our own olympians.

stephen haughian - top prospect

dean byrne - top prospect in wildcard gym

the hyland brothers - top prospects

then a few anglo-irish fighters also like frankie gavin , jamie moore , tyson fury, steve o'meara etc

the list gos on

also all the amateur stars , ireland finished 3rd in the world youth championships last year with ray moylette getting gold , tommy mccarthy, jamie kavanagh and david joyce all getting medals

irish boxing is on a high but i predict it will be a lot stronger in about 2-3 years , never mind the duddy's of this world we have a lot more gifted fighters then duddy coming up the ranks at the moment

all from a population of less then 6 million .

 

This is my last ever post to you as I refuse to speak to anyone who believes that Andy Lee is an EXCELLENT prospect...

By the way, Lyndsay, Rogan and McCloskey are BRITISH hence their ability to fight for the BRITISH title...
