Ah. In fairness. The brits on this site always see us Irish getting ahead of ourselves.

    Lets review why.

You think we think Dunne can beat everyody in the 122 division. False. We think he is a talented fighter who has beaten a world class fighter to win a version of a title. I'm not even worried if its a world title or not. He proved he can mix with some very good company . Now I've heard crap about him being beaten around that night and got lucky. What a load of bollox that is. He hit him with some strong powerful shots that gassed Cordoba and led to a knock out. I had Cordoba no more than 3 rounds ahead at the time of the stoppage. And that was only for ring control. Punch for punch they were even. Dunne played a gameplan and he played it perfectly.

Now why are we getting ahead of ourselves. Because we think he can beat Munroe. Well Munroe would be a tough fight as he has a very good defence but fact of the matter is Munroe's punch power is not big and he has a points loss to Andy Morris. Idont think its inconcivable for us to think he can take this guy. I mean come on. Think you **** for brains.

Next up. Ask Paul Mccloskey is he Irish or English? He'll say he's Irish fairly sharply. He is a top fighter that dismantled Lynes quite easily. He is improving too so we are enjoying watching him. At this point i think he could take olusegen. Don't think thats getting ahead of ourselves. Mccloskey has sharp straight punches and olsegun shoots wode punches. Then I can see big things for him. He is looking good and I hope he does go well.

Next, Rogie. Once again Irish. Ask him. No point yee claiming him because he won't say he is. Its a rocky story we are enjoying. So what. We have the right to watch this guy upset the odds and enjoy it.

Andy Lee. He started on fire and now he has one knock out loss. He was destroying Vera on points and got caught/ That's boxing. He is still on a learning curve and he does have the potential to do something. He needs to improve but we hope he can. But his flaws can easily be solved. We have hope for him. He does have skills and power.

Pajo Hyland is showing some good stuff. Showing some good power of late too. I see some limits to his game but I'm going to keep an eye on this guy. Undefeated and a prospect.

Dean Byrne is one I also hope might go do something but its very early days for him.

It seems like you're telling us not to support our boxers.

If that's the case I would politely like to say **** YOU!!! Thank you for reading this long message.

Personally I am really glad Irish boxing is on an high and I hope it continues to improve.

Like most Brits I support Rogan and McCloskey. Both are good fighters and have gained big support for great performances and the fact they appear to be great lads.

Lee and Dunne have fans over here too. Everyone gets childish at times on this site when a fighter loses (I acted like a real ***** when Hatton lost to Pac). Both Lee and Duddy can give us fight fans some exceptional nights of boxing, the only time I will not support Dunne is if him and Munroe fight (for me Dunne wins).

The only thing that pisses me off about Irish boxing is that Egan has not turned pro. Maybe nobbing 1000's of hot young Irish lasses is better than getting punched in the face for a living but he has the ability to be a top pro.

You can support whoever you want for what ever reason you choose. :thumbsup

Dunne will be another 1 round KTFO if he fights JuanMa.

I think Molitor would probably outbox Munroe, however, depends how he has recovered from the loss against Cabellero.

Early in his career, short notice, higher weight. Fairly insignificant.

Dunne has been sparked by Martinerz yet people dismiss this fairly easily, I think Munroe's loss to Morris should also be treated the same way. Wasn't that a 12-rounder in only his 7th or 8th fight????

No. i do agree with you there. Munroe is not the same fighter. He's on another level now. Just trying to gee his fans up a little. I was on a rant.

I've have said before Munroe is underated by many Irish fans and will give Dunne a good fight. Still think Dunne wins it though. I want this fight so much cause theres great rivalry.

Munroe is pants. In world terms he brings nothing to the table and he will be obliterated by the first world class fighter he faces. Catching Bernard Dunne cold doesn't make you world class so therefore Munroe has exactly zero world class victories. He is an ok British level fighter and the shocking state of the division in this continent is the only reason why he is a champion at the weight.

Nobody said Munroe has beaten anyone world class.

But prior to the first fight, which was a pretty clear win for Munroe (rather than a majority decision).... Martinez was this feared banger.

All I saw was a slugger who came up against someone not worried by his reputation.... and he was outboxed easily early and outfought down the stretch.

The story was the same but in reverse in the rematch, again an easy win for Munroe.

This notwithstanding, Dunne would most likely embarrass Martinez in a return (which isn't relevant I agree) - but the fact remains he was iced inside two minutes by this guy!
