    I think you're right.

Maloney seems to have given up competing as a promoter and all his future plans are around David Price. Look how he has handled Dallas and also letting Tom Little enter Prizefighter.

Hate to say I told you so.........

A while back in a thread I mentioned that price would be signing promotional terms with Matchroom whilst still being manaed by Maloney.

don't think that anyone's mentioned that maloney said he was going to retire from boxing by 2015 and that he wouldn't be signing any new fighters. therefore it would seem to suit both parties to have a parting of the ways - it's another step away from the game for maloney and sky can rid itselff of someone who isn't going to bring any new faces to the party and who probably is not that bothered about putting on the nights of boxing that sky demand

My mate says boxing is boring and F1 is brilliant.

I'd like to know the viewing figures.

Its a money game, its the ****ing car not the driver.

Look at Button, won **** all, then suddenly gets Brawn car and.......

Price has been saying he'll be ready to 'step up in about 18 months time' seemingly forever, but fighters can't expect a 20 fight lead in to top level anymore. Just look at Watt's ridiculous commentary on Frampton's perfectly acceptable performance last time out. Wasn't exciting enough for Jim and Sky. They would have preferred him to plough in head down for some excitement. In the case of Price though, he is starting to make Froch's early progress under Fat Mick look meteoric.

the Sky figurs are the most impressive- I genuinely think big time boxing could beat the F1 coverage on the BBC though. Imagine what a bigger deal Khans world title win would have been if they showed it on ITV1, or if Audley had been worth a shite, or if Hatton had been on the BBC or something. The figures would have surely been crazy?

Don't get the appeal of F1. Not even a proper sport.

F1 drives subscriptions. Those F1 fans are fanatics and I bet a good percent of them got sky sports once they realised BBC no longer had every race.

I think there will be some cutting elsewhere to fund the new EPL deal though and ESPN will pick up some content.
