TBH Price's interview Price was hinting it could of been illegal but didn't go through with it i think he knew it would sound like sour grapes.
I knew Maloney would be jumped on because of this, and rightly so, what a pathetic excuse, I was sittering there going "oh here we go" you'd think he would be embarrassed coming off with this ****. he got hit on the ear, he went down, he was done, he'll be back, get over it
My worry for Price is that he stated in the post fighter presser that he has had his ear drum perforated numerous times. Surely that can't be a good thing?
If the shot is not directly at the back of the head..? Its fine. If he would not of went down, nobody would be talking about the shot.
Even price admitted it didn't look like a big punch on the replay. If he had no faith in his chin before this fight, he definitely has no faith in his chin now. Chap has low confidence in himself imo.
Behave Frank. The worst kept secret in heavyweight boxing was finally well and truly shown to the world and there are no excuses. He'd be better just going along with Pricey's line of it being a freak punch more than anything, saying it was illegal and shouldn't have been allowed is ****-weak and bitter.
What a load of nonsense, i guess your going to get that kind of bull**** when you only have one fighter in your entire stable.
It looked like Thompson held Prices head with his left hand, while landing the ko blow with the right, technically sorta illegal, but might have been accidental...then again, it looked like he tried to do it about 10 seconds before! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IIMVmAAgSGY
Daft from Maloney. If it been the other way round and Thompson was saying it was illegal he would be going mad. Lennox had a few ko's where the opponent could and perhaps did cry foul. Grant and Ruddock are 2 I can think of. I bet Maloney was silent on those.
I thought wee Maloney was carted off to the infirmary after seeing his pension plan break into shards?
