No need to deny Haye's punching power. It's there, unlike the will to take on worthy opponents. His mentality might be beyond repair, the mandatory defense against Chagaev (unless he find a way to duck him) will be his first major test in HW. If he loses, he's finished as a boxer.
im certainly not saying that at all, i like adamek i really do, but i think haye would knock him out and im not saying it would be in round 1 or the fight would not be competative, i just really beleive he has the power and skills to knock him out. Unfortuanrtly haye appears to be too much of a ***** to fight any of the top guys :-(
And the reason he's avoiding the top guys is that he doesn't believe his power and skills will deliver him a victory over them. You can't be better than you think you are in boxing. It's all in the boxer's head, your conclusions as an external spectator are irrelevant unless they coincide the the ones of the fighter himself.
they are irrelevant regardless i know for a fact he will face wlad but the damage has already been done
Actions speak louder than words. I bet if it came down to Haye-Adamek having a Bowe-Golota showdown Haye wouldn't want any part of getting his Versace g-string face jackhammered.
I'd be inclined to bet on it too. Haye got awfully spoiled by money and fame, and his talk of retirement gives away his escapist psychological issues...
I like Tommy Adameks attitude, of all the heavyweights i want him to suceed, purely because he is desperate to prove himself. What more can u ask for, he fights regularly and improves everytime, most of these other guys fight 2 times a year and expect millions of dollars, where as Adamek just gets on with his job He might not have much power at heavyweight but hes got fitness and skills to go 12. I hope he clears the divison....something which i had hoped Haye would do....but how wrong was i..
