after that jab there was a head clash :patsch :patsch :patsch, and dont bother about the elbow because it was on the wrong angle of the camera.

i cant believe people think a glancing blow, a jab at that would cause that much damage SMH.

Shut your flappin **** mouth, you whiny twat.

You like that out of your fighters, fine. I expect more.

It was the easy way out. Think all the people over there paid that money to go see Nonito (who I am a fan of btw, but expect more, but don't expect you to see it thru your tears of woe)..... you think all those people were happy they bagged the fight after 4 rounds?

To do it to win a title makes it worse. And people wonder why this sport struggles for legitimacy.

I have to set the record straight here. The head clash first of all looks unintentional. It also minor and not what caused the cut. The cut was caused by an elbow immediately following the head clash. The second replay shows it better but it goes fast even in slow motion. You need an eagle eye to see it.

**** sometimes happens. headbutts, elbows, broken jaw or hands. Mayweather-Ortiz was a big PPV event and it looks like a WWE event.

Agreed. At least we can agree it is generally **** when it happens.

What I'm particularly bugged by is that if they were going to stop the fight, then stop the fight right then and there. Don't decide, well let's wait until the end of the round, when we know it will go into the books, and then stop the fight. That to me is what cheapens it. And good on Nonito for being willing to engage in a rematch.

Cotto gets guff, but he fought through just as bad a cut vs Clottey, had the opportunity to stop the fight, while up on the cards, and didn't. Very similar scenario.
