    But hmm..

All of Donaire's noticeable wins has been against opponent smaller than him where he has height and reach advantage.

I wanna see him against bigger opponents or at least same size as him..

    What you guys thinks?

    I thinks the same thing.

However, I was really surprised to learn Donaire only weighed 126 on fight night against Donaire - who was 134 (?). I had always been under the impression that Donaire comes in heavy for his fights, which was one of the reasons why I thought he would hurt Montiel badly.

But yes, he looks ace against inferior sized opponents where he enjoys the height and reach to counter and destroy them. I can't wait to see him up at 122 and 126 against guys of similar size. He's gonna be in some great fights.

he's tall but skinny. there's PWil, Caballero, Funeka, to name a few, that are tall for their divisions. it exists. as long as he makes the weight, i have no problem with it.

He can make the weight no problem.. He might fight WBA champ Anselmo Moreno next, who stands at 5'8"..

As long as he makes the weight its all good...I believe the shorter opponent can always negate openings IF they are equipped to do so. Donaire is jus that good...

it's interesting when he fights, he crouches a bit and bends his legs, I guess it gives him the most pop for his punches instead of standing up straight euro style

I think he's a amazing talent but after KO'ing Darchinyan he didn't do **** until recently against Montiel I ain't knocking him in fact Darchinyan love him or hate him has a incredible resume and if you don't accept that you really arn't following boxing. Anyhow the way Donaire looks for some reason angers me but like his nickname he has flashes of greatness is crazy athletic, has shown a high lvl of skill, and can take a shot. That being said how he will do against guys of similar height and weight is in question but win or lose those will make some sweet fights.

1 to 3 inches of height advantage is not a factor. Boxing is divided by weight classes not by height. :D

Nonito wants to fight Anselmo Moreno who is listed as 5' 8". Would that count as bigger guy? Anyways, bigger taller in boxing is not always an advantage and its proven.

All of RJJ's wins were against opponents who were significantly slower than him. I always thought that was bull**** too.

Someone who is quick and rangy is something Donaire is yet to really face yet...so I guess there are question marks there.

I dont think Moreno is the kind of the guy to ask those questions though...not quick enough and to light hitting...but a different fight for Nonito nonetheless.

That's because he's tall and has long reach for the division he's fighting in, there's not many people that can match him in those departments for his weight.

It's using his physical gifts to his advantage, like Mayweather using his speed, or Tyson using his power..It's up to his opponents to neutralise his advantages and find openings to fight on the inside.

oscar had the same advantage- when he was a light fighter- he was massive for his classes.

they may be taller- but not necessarily bigger, they weigh the same on the weigh in - so its all fair. being taller dsoent mean ****- not the way people wag on about it.

look at floyd, pac, tyson, evander, roy, etc. all "small" for their weight classes which they smashed.
