Forget his KO record, or his power

    Its his technique.

That guy didnt punch, he slapped with flurries.

Show me some of his Knock outs where he actually layed a man out.

How many bums has he konked out on the floor asleep?

How many challengers, champions, gatekeepers has he put to bed?

And tell me what round BHop was covering up?

why does that video not include his knockdowns? the uppercut he hit sobot with was PERFECT. the left hook he hit veit with was PERFECT and sent him crashing down hard

the left hook he hit eubank was PERFECT (eubank even got off the floor and mouthed "good")

lets forget his record and his opponents then and just check his technique

It was called Calzaghe the KO specialist, not Calzaghe the Knockdown specialist.

Show me a time, where he put some of his opponents to bed.

    Like this:-

    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ScRv9xzLeW8[/ame]

And Lipsey was undefeated in 25 fights, not a challenger, but not a bum also. Lipsey never fought again.

The only person Calzaghe has put to bed is his son.

I dont know what you think of perfection. Eubank stood up, wasnt dazed, wasnt on ***** street, wasnt hurt. An example of a left hook, or right hook from an orthadox fighter, that is close to perfection is not that. See this one:-

    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OhVi7cH-LaQ[/ame]

Compare the two, Calzaghe's left hook from a southpaw stance to Jackson's right hook from an orthadox stance, which one deserves to be called perfect.

This is what Calzaghe's technique is, and he also admits that his technique:-

    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mhhlW2FX6Is[/ame]

That punch aint all that, Like I said above. Eubank wasnt on hurt, but go to 4:27 of that same video you posted and see Calzaghe on ***** street.

You say that this left hook from a southpaw stance (18 seconds in) is perfect

    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MJ_Vt6h0z4w[/ame]

Exactly what punch did Calzaghe counter?

This right hook from a orthadox stance countering a jab, but it put the man to sleep.

    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gexazLr6pSY[/ame]

And here is a left hook from a southpaw stance countering some bull rushing:-

    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xGHwfQLsbn0[/ame]

These are closer to perfection than Calzaghe's minor slap that didnt even hurt a cold Eubank in the first round.

Like I said, Calzaghe aint put no one to bed other than his son.

And yet Calzaghe still with his lack of KO power, managed to beat everyone he faced.

I could probably amass a 46-0 record fighting the competition he did, as long as I got a gift decision here and there.

we was discussing his technique and skills, not his record.

his record is below Hopkins, and Roy Jones according to the majority opinions, but that wasnt the discussion, so if anyone want to open that discussion they can open it.

    we were discussing

Show a fight were Calzaghe put his opponent to bed (a good opponent if you can)?
    - Like I said before, the only person Calzaghe put to bed is his son.

Show me a fight were Calzaghe fought off the ropes, used counter punching effectively to make his opponent change their game plan, versatility, fighting off the back foot, use of lateral movement and so on which is sub categories of technique and skills.

Sorry to digress, but Pacquiao's footwork is simply mindblowing in that video 0_o

He positioned himself perfectly for that punch.

Keep trying to shift the subject out of hate . The thread was someone saying they miss Calzaghe.
You keep looking for things but cannot change the results or facts. Its something you will just have to learn to live with

Seeing as in any close fight Calzaghe has had, the majority have felt he has won. None of his decisions can be deemed gift decisions whether you personally agree with them or not.
What is this competition you that you dont rate to amass a 46-0 record?

How many threads stay on the topic that the thread starter was discussing?

If someone starts a, Man I miss a Roy Jones Jr thread, by page 4 Rico Spadafora will be discussing glass jaws.

If someone starts a, Man I miss a BHops thread, by page 6 someone will be discussing clinching and Welterweights.

If I start a I hate Calzaghe thread, some ***zaghe will pop up around page 2 saying how he likes to suck on his dick.

You been here long enough to know that.

He put 46 opponents to bed. Everyone who entered the ring with him left the ring as a loser. Nuff said. :hi:
